We’re excited to share the results of our innovation research and explore the practical implications for leaders and teams pursuing innovation

How do leaders create the conditions for innovation to thrive? The insights Schaffer Consulting will offer in an upcoming November 17 webinar are based on cross-industry client experience and a body of research, including a recent survey of 120 managers. The discussion will focus on what innovation leaders do differently to drive success and how they navigate around inevitable challenges.

The “Going for Gold” webinar will introduce the critical elements that make or break successful innovation programs. “There are concrete steps that leaders can take to strengthen the conditions we’ve found to be correlated with innovation results – creative friction, flexible structure, purposeful discovery and constant energy,” says Schaffer Consulting Partner Daniel Dworkin.

“We’re excited to share the results of our innovation research and explore the practical implications for leaders and teams pursuing innovation,” adds Markus Spiegel, Partner at Schaffer Consulting. Dworkin and Spiegel will facilitate the webinar and panel discussion with Sara Beckman from Haas School of Business, Dan Cherian, VP global innovation at VF Corporation, and Dinsh Guzdar, president of the San Francisco-based f’real foods, whose own approach to innovation is blended into his milkshake, smoothie, and frozen cappuccino company.

“Many organizations are full of smart people who seek ways to be creative, understand the energy and speed that innovation requires, and see the opportunity ahead. But innovation leaders must create the conditions where that inspiration and agility will deliver results,” said Spiegel.

Registration for the one-hour Webcast, which begins at 11 a.m. EST on November 17, is available at http://schafferresults.com/schaffer-consulting-news/webinar-going-for-gold-four-conditions-for-winning-in-innovation.

Based on interest in the innovation research that is the topic of the “Going for Gold” webinar, Harvard Business Review collaborated with Dworkin and Spiegel to create a free assessment to help managers understand their organizations’ innovation readiness. The survey is available at https://hbr.org/2015/11/assessment-is-your-company-actually-ready-to-innovate . After taking the survey, participants can see how they compare to other test takers on HBR.org and receive feedback on what they can do to help their companies become more innovative.
