eOriginal CEO Bisbee Joins Key Panel at eSignRecords2015 to Discuss Future of Digital Transaction Management
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) November 10, 2015 -- eOriginal, Inc., the experts in digital transactions, announced that it will serve as a Gold Sponsor of the eSignRecords2015 Conference, the world’s premiere event on issues surrounding electronic records and signatures. During the conference, eOriginal President and CEO Stephen Bisbee will discuss the emergence and future of Digital Transaction Management during a breakout session.
The two-day event takes place Nov. 17 and 18 in New York City, hosted annually by the Electronic Signature and Records Association (ESRA), the leading trade association representing electronic signature adopters and providers. This year’s conference, held at the Convene – Financial District Conference Center, will serve as a platform to advance the use and acceptance of electronic signature and records, with industry leaders sharing common goals, objective ideas, strategies and current trends.
The eSignRecords2015 conference will feature issue-driven sessions, providing insight into: legal and regulatory matters; the effects of DTM on the industry; the Consumer and Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) “Know Before You Owe” program; identity management and data security; ADA compliance; and how Digital Transaction Management (DTM) is improving performance and security. This year, the association will also highlight the 15th anniversary of the ESIGN Act, taking a look back and a view forward of the progress of the eSignature industry.
On the second day of the conference, Bisbee, along with Jim Lundy, CEO and Lead Analyst of Aragon Research, and Heather Petersen, executive director of the xDTM Standard Association, will discuss the global emergence of DTM and its impact on various business processes. Additionally, the panel will review the drivers behind the development of an xDTM standard and its applications moving forward, as well as the emergence of subcategories of DTM, including financial asset management.
The team of panelists will also share first-hand experiences and insights on how DTM impacts compliance, enforceability, accessibility, availability, privacy and security issues.
The session, titled “Digital Transaction Management: A Path Forward”, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 18. According to a study released by Aragon Research earlier this year, the DTM market is expected to grow to $30 billion by 2020.
Bisbee has been a driving force in the rise of the eSignature industry since the late 1980s. He was one of a small group of innovative legal experts that created the framework for the model Uniform Electronic Transaction Act (UETA) and sections of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) enabling electronic signatures and records to be utilized in commerce. He also supported the development of the ESIGN Act.
“Over the past 20 years, the needs of the eSignature industry have surpassed our initial goals of encouraging businesses to go digital and accept digital signature technology,” explained Bisbee. “The focal point used to be on eSignatures, but now the eSignature is just the beginning component of a larger digital process. To keep up with the growing demands of digital, global businesses are adopting DTM to satisfy consumers, provide legal enforceability for their financial assets, and ensure that their assets are compliantly maintained after the signature execution.”
eOriginal is an active member of ESRA. As a founding Member, Past-Chairman, current Board member and Chair of the Membership Committee, Bisbee is a constant force assisting the rapidly growing ESRA, and was among those honored by ESRA at last year’s eSignRecords2014 with the organization’s first Cornerstone Award for his pioneering achievements in electronic commerce. Elizabeth McClure, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for eOriginal, currently serves as the association’s Secretary to the Board of Directors.
