Nexton Sweeps Prism Awards:State’s First Gigabit Community Celebrates Winning First Year
SUMMERVILLE, SC (PRWEB) November 09, 2015 -- Nexton -- a new community that has harnessed a winning combination of technology, healthy living, and convenience -- has been named greater Charleston’s Best Planned Urban Development for 2015.
Nexton was dubbed the region’s best at the Charleston Home Builders Association (CHBA) Prism Awards on Friday, November 6. Nexton also took home awards for Best Community Website, Best Newspaper Ad and Best Advertising Campaign.
The award program recognizes excellence in the field of sales, marketing, construction, and promotion of new homes. The “urban development” category includes those with 100 or more lots that have been marketed for less than 18 months.
“Being recognized this way by homebuilders and real estate professionals is very gratifying,” said Kenneth T. Seeger, president, WestRock Land and Development. “Our team has worked hard to design a place that anticipates the way people want to live. We are even more pleased to hear from our growing community of residents who believe we’ve gotten the mix right.”
Nexton opened in April with a model row of homes by John Wieland Homes, Pulte Homes and Saussy Burbank. To date, more than a dozen families have moved into Brighton Park Village, the first neighborhood. In August, the new Nexton Elementary School opened, bringing a robust technology program to every classroom.
Nexton has also hosted a series of community events including a 5K Cocoa Cup, Piccolo Spoleto and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra performances, an Oktoberfest and numerous community events at its Front Porch information center.
