Washington, DC Area’s Hilton Crystal City Supports Those Who Pay Respects to The Nation’s Fallen Heroes
ARLINGTON, VA (PRWEB) November 11, 2015 -- On December 12, 2015 Wreaths Across America will coordinate its annual wreath laying ceremonies on the graves of those who fought to protect this country. These ceremonies will be held at national cemeteries in all fifty states, including the one in Arlington, VA. The Hilton Crystal City at Washington Reagan National Airport, located one Metrorail stop from the cemetery is supporting the efforts by giving a preferred rate for those coming to pay their respects. A portion of the rate will be given as a donation to the charity for each guest that stays overnight for the ceremony. Wreaths Across America began in 1992 when the owner of Worcester Wreath Company had a surplus of wreaths and made arrangements to put the extra wreaths on the old part of Arlington Cemetery that had only a few visitors at that time. Twenty three years since its inception, the events have grown to the point of requiring thousands of volunteers who organize local ceremonies, raise funds to sponsor wreaths, and participate in the events. The organization also coordinates veteran services and recognition through a variety of programs, and provides schools with teaching aides for projects throughout the year.
