Prevent Blindness, the nation's oldest volunteer eye health and safety organization, honored Former First Lady of the United States, Mrs. Laura Bush, as the recipient of the 2015 Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award. The award was presented at the Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Dinner on Nov. 5 at the Drake Hotel in Chicago.
The annual Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award recognizes an individual for outstanding leadership and dedication in the field of vision and eye health. The award was presented to Mrs. Bush in recognition for her dedication to children’s literacy efforts and advocating the importance of healthy eyesight in helping children succeed today and in the future.
