The Great Exodus Debate: Agnostic Archaeology vs Biblical History

The Great Exodus Debate is coming to Charlotte on Sunday, Dec. 13

The Great Exodus Debate promises to be a fascinating, FREE event suitable for all ancient adventure fans aged 12 and up.

“The Great Exodus Debate” (2:30pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel) pits agnostic Egyptologist David Rohl against biblical historian Michael Rood. Winner of the debate will be decided by an audience vote. The audience will also be invited to stay and watch the “Patterns of Evidence” biblical documentary after the event.

Presenting the archaeological view is agnostic Egyptologist David Rohl, bestselling author of several books including Pharaohs and Kings and Exodus: Myth or History? Rohl is recognized as one of Egyptology’s most powerful communicators, whose thought-provoking work challenges the religious and academic status quo with convincing evidence. Rohl has been called “one of the most brilliant and original minds now engaged in writing ancient history.”

Presenting the biblical view is renowned author, broadcaster, and biblical historian Michael Rood. Rood has been called one of the most energetic exponents of biblical truth to come out of the land of Israel in modern times. A resident of both Jerusalem and the Galilee for the past 20 years, Rood is the author of the 40-year research project, The Chronological Gospels, several additional books, and hundreds of television programs broadcast in more than 180 countries.

“Some of the world’s most prominent archaeologists, historians, and even Christian professors and Jewish Rabbis are claiming that the Exodus never happened because archaeological evidence cannot be found,” Rood asserts. “But what if they are wrong?”

Rood claims that a gross error was made in reading an Egyptian hieroglyph 100 years ago, upon which entire schools of archaeology base their research. Egyptologist David Rohl says he prefers to “let the evidence speak for itself.”

The Great Exodus Debate promises to be a fascinating, engaging event suitable for all ancient adventure fans aged 12 and up.
