Continental Van Lines Announces United Van Lines Branch in Tacoma, Washington
(PRWEB) November 18, 2015 -- As of the last 6 months, there has been an absense of a United Van Lines office in the Pierce County market. As Continental’s Corporate Operations Manager, Joseph Blaine points out, with this in mind “we wanted the opportunity to represent United Van Lines. We felt it would be a good fit as Continental already repsresents United in Anchorage. This allows us to offer Tacoma customers the same state-of-the-art service that Anchorage clients have benefitted from for over 60 years.”
Pierce County continues to be one of the fastest growing counties in Washington State with an annual population growth of around 3% since 2010, according to the Washington State Employment Security Department. The Continental-United office will compete with roughly 6 other full-service, professional moving companies in the Pierce County area to service the relocation needs of approximately 830,000 people and 54,000 local businesses as reported by the 2014 U.S. Census.
“Our customers will now have the benefit of a wider selection of relocation brands from which to choose from. Many customers may have loyalty to one carrier over the other from past good experiences. We will now be able to offer both Tacoma brands to an expanded number of clients as well as provide more origin and destination services throughout the entire United and Mayflower family,“ stated Continetnal’s Tacoma Manager, Bob Leale.
In the past few years, Continental Van Lines has seen it’s Western Washington Mayflower Transit market undergo numerous changes as the economy, regulations, and population demographics have fluctuated.
“With the upcoming addition of United-247, the most exciting thing will be seeing our company experience new growth, development and expansion. Considering the downturn of the economy a few years ago, this new opportunity shows how far we’ve come,” states Leale.
