Derdack Unveils New Business Software Designed to Cut IT Incident Response and Resolution Times

At this year’s Gartner ITxpo in Barcelona, Derdack announces public availability of the 2016 release of its Enterprise Alert® software. The release introduces a new “anywhere” concept for a significantly more effective and faster IT incident response and resolution; it uniquely combines anywhere incident notification, collaboration and remediation.

The 2016 release of Derdack’s software reduces incidence response and resolution times by 50%.

The 2016 release of Derdack’s software addresses the needs of enterprises and organizations with 24/7 operated mission-critical IT, e.g. for customer-facing service or manufacturing process control. It combines three pillars of effectively responding to IT incidents threatening the continuity of services and operations. An all-new mobile app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone, which is part of the new release, has been designed to become the premier tool for responding and resolving major IT incidents.

The first pillar consists of highly reliable, mobile and targeted alert notifications via a multitude of communication channels like text, voice, mobile push, email and instant messaging. Tracking, automated escalations, on-call scheduling, meaningful content and audit trailing guarantee the level of reliability that is required for mission-critical systems.

The second pillar evolves around machine-assisted and mobile collaboration. IT service staff or engineers who are alerted often need to communicate with managers, on-call staff of other teams or subject-matter experts. The Derdack mobile app grants quick access to colleagues and peers and offers one-touch 1-1 or 1-many communications.

The last pillar is the ability to neutralize or to actually resolve IT incidents by remotely (and securely) triggering troubleshooting and remediation actions or IT automation jobs. Derdack’s software recommends actions that are likely to help in solving the issue.

For a quick return-on-investment Derdack’s software is designed to seamlessly and securely embed into IT monitoring, IT service desks and IT automation tools from vendors such as Microsoft or HP. Integration is 2-way to ensure that any action like an alert acknowledgement or the successful closing of incidents is reflected across all involved systems, i.e. starting from the event source (e.g. your monitoring system) all the way up to Derdack’s mobile app. This helps avoid confusion and ensures effectiveness of IT service engineers.

Previous versions of Derdack’s software are in use by leading enterprises and organizations in over 50 countries worldwide. Customers claim an improvement of 50% and more over their conventional incident response and resolution routines. This results in significantly shorter downtimes of 24/7 operated mission-critical IT. Derdack’s 2016 release with its new 3-pillar concept of notification, collaboration and remediation is set to even further increase the positive impact on the operation of mission-critical IT systems. Through automation of previously manual processes and routines erroneous actions and human latencies are drastically reduced.
