Formetco Launches Customer Protection Campaign to Promote Licensing Agreement with T-Rex Property AB
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 10, 2015 -- Formetco today announced the launch of a Customer Protection Campaign promoting their licensing agreement with T-Rex Property AB. The campaign’s purpose is to alleviate any concerns Formetco’s prospective or existing customers may have about the potential for being named in a T-Rex patent infringement lawsuit. T-Rex has sued several digital billboard manufacturers and outdoor advertising companies claiming that the sale and operation of digital billboards infringes two patents held by T-Rex.
Formetco has not been named as a defendant in any of the many patent infringement lawsuits filed by T-Rex against other outdoor advertising companies. The agreement between Formetco and T-Rex Property AB is a rock solid assurance that customers purchasing Formetco billboards have zero risk of the legal problems that have beset users of billboards from other manufacturers.
Jock Gibb, Formetco Vice President of Sales, stated “We are moving forward with this campaign to assure our customers that doing business with Formetco is a smart and safe decision.”
The existing license agreement includes provisions that specifically protect Formetco and all Formetco customers from claims by T-Rex based upon ownership and use of Formetco’s digital billboards and Electronic Message Centers. The agreement covers Formetco customers using products in both the United States and Canada, where T-Rex has patent rights.
The industry noise about T-Rex centers around the lawsuits that T-Rex has filed across the United States against companies alleged to have violated T-Rex patents, which were issued in 2007 and 2008. The patents cover systems for direct placement of commercial advertising, public service announcements and other content on digital billboards and smaller digital displays.
Any customers having questions about Formetco’s Customer Protection Campaign are encouraged to contact Formetco at 1-800-367-6382. Owners of digital billboard and message center products manufactured by other companies are invited to contact Formetco to discuss replacing their systems with Formetco’s protected products.
