(PRWEB) November 11, 2015 -- Akin Law Group, PLLC is proud to announce that New York attorney Robert Salaman has been named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the New York Metro area for 2015.
Mr. Salaman is an experienced employment law litigator. He handles sexual harassment and discrimination claims based on race, sex, pregnancy, national origin, religion, disability, FMLA and sexual orientation. In addition, Mr. Salaman assists clients with wage and overtime disputes under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and New York Labor Law (NYLL). He regularly appears in New York and New Jersey federal and state courts and has experience with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), along with other state and city administrative bodies that regulate workers’ rights. Mr. Salaman is honored to represent individuals who have been discriminated against, retaliated against and wrongfully terminated in litigation, mediation and arbitration.
“I am proud to fight discrimination every day,” said Salaman. “I am excited and honored to be included on the Rising Stars list, because it shows that other attorneys have recognized my commitment to justice.”
The selections for this esteemed list are made by the research team at Super Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters legal division based in Eagan, Minnesota. Each year, they undertake a rigorous multiphase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
To be eligible for the Rising Stars list, an attorney must be either younger than 40 or in practice for fewer than ten years. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in a state are named to Rising Stars.
