MobileMind Launches Next-Gen Professional Development for Integrating Mobile Technology into the Classroom
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 13, 2015 -- MobileMind, a services provider dedicated to dramatically improving education systems through mobile technology enablement, announces today its innovative Professional Development program. Through a personalized, practical and comprehensive approach, MobileMind offers a solution for educational professionals looking to augment their technology skills.
“While the use of mobile technology in education has risen sharply, many schools have a difficult time keeping their educators up to speed,” says MobileMind CEO, Tyce Miller. “Much like their students, each educator is different, so MobileMind created a tailored learning program that all stakeholders can benefit from.”
MobileMind’s Next-Gen Professional Development begins with the 360° Skills Assessment. Based on International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards, the assessment helps teachers evaluate and identify strengths and areas for development pertaining to technology education within their professional practice. The 360° Skills Assessment can be customized based on school or district standards.
After all the data is gathered from the assessment, the 360° software recommends MobileMind professional development workshops that can be individualized to best suit their level of development. Every workshop combines educational theory with practical skills, and includes expert feedback. Participants will have a tangible product that can be used immediately in the classroom.
Dothan City Schools is currently in the process of rolling out MobileMind’s Professional Development program. MobileMind has developed cross-district relationships with peers in similar teaching assignments and will collaborate and share resources across the district.
“I really enjoyed learning simple ways to integrate more technology and how it can make things more fun and easier!,” says one Dothan City Schools teacher. “Thank you so much for understanding that teachers have a huge workload and keeping it simple! This information will help open my mind to new ideas and ways of teaching the learner of today.”
For schools that reach the end of the PD Program, the same Assessment questions are sent to the students for feedback. The change in results demonstrates the improvements made by the PD Program and will be the basis for the next part of the ongoing professional development efforts.
