New Canaan, CT (PRWEB) November 12, 2015 -- After years of providing premier tutoring, test prep and college counseling services to thousands of families throughout lower Fairfield and Northern Westchester Counties, renowned tutoring, academic counseling and standardized test prep expert Barbara Levine is proud to announce her thriving business has officially become Acuity Tutoring and Test Prep.
“The time had come to transition into being an independent business owner,” said Levine, who holds a Master’s Degree from Harvard. “The autonomy that is afforded through shifting my business platform from franchise owner to an independent business owner allows me the opportunity to be even more available and personally accessible to students and parents.”
Continuing she said, “In determining how to best achieve my objective of being more hands-on in working with families and students, I recognized that shifting away from my previous franchise business model will ensure that ample time is always available for the one-on-one, consultative and assessment time necessary to make sure that every student is paired with the tutor, advisor or counselor best equipped to meet the student’s and family’s goals,” Levine said.
To that end, Levine explains that she chose to rebrand her business as Acuity Tutoring and Test Prep for a very fitting reason. “The definition of Acuity is sharpness, acuteness, or keenness of thought,” she said. “That is the essence of why we exist-to develop, harness and nurture the sharpness of students’ minds.”
However, clients who have worked with Levine in the past will find that although her business model and business name have changed, she maintains the same state-of-the-art tutoring centers in New Canaan and Darien that have housed her business for more than 8 years. In addition, her team of tutors, counselors, and advisors remain unchanged. “I have the same team with me at Acuity. They are all professional educators, and at minimum hold a Master’s Degree,” Levine said. “In addition, I am a founding member of the Bluestone Educational Network, a consortium of tutoring and test prep owners with whom I have worked for the past 8 years. Being a member of this consortium allows me to share and benefit from best practices, curriculum insights and operating efficiencies with like-minded owners,” Levine added.
To celebrate the formal launch of Acuity Tutoring and Test Prep, an Open House will be held on December 9, 2015 at the New Canaan Center, located at 70 Main Street at 6pm.
