The next Scripps Ranch Theatre contest is for the production, The Heir Apparent

As the curtain closes on Scripps Ranch Theatre’s first production of the season, Sleuth, the theatre is gearing up for its next project - and offering another exciting opportunity for its fans.

Sleuth opened in September following a successful social media promotion that crowned lucky fan Selina Herman the winner of two season tickets to the Scripps Ranch Theatre’s 2015-2016 season, along with a $75 gift certificate to Yanni’s Bar & Grill. Due to the success of the first giveaway, SRT will continue to promote its upcoming season with new surprises for its fans.

“We are thrilled with the response to the Sleuth promotion, and are excited to announce our next production. We have a great season lined up with some exciting prizes along the way,” said Jill Drexler, artistic director of Scripps Ranch Theatre.

Next up for the theatre is the comedy The Heir Apparent, which follows the antics of a young man trying to earn the affection — and inheritance — of his very old and very rich uncle. Naturally, not all goes according to plan when both men set their sights on the same woman.

To promote the play, Scripps Ranch Theatre is holding another sweepstakes featuring a restaurant gift certificate and season tickets to the theatre. In addition, contestants will have the option of submitting a short poem (6-8 lines) in rhyme verse about why they love the theatre. The poems will be evaluated separately from the sweepstakes, and the winner will receive an additional gift.

Visit the theatre’s official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/scrippsranchtheatre for more details, and be sure to check out the play in person when it opens on November 13, 2015.
