Modern Transportation, an industry leader in liquid and dry bulk material logistics transportation, has begun to execute their plan to significantly expand their participation in the 3PL market. Having been in the 3PL sector for over 10 years,
Modern has recently devised plans to greatly increase their number of partnerships with Fortune 1000 manufacturers, to compliment the scores of companies for whom Modern currently arranges 3PL moves
The most significant enhancement, separate from the overall expansion plan, was to welcome Chris Perry as their new Director of Modern’s Third Party Logistics division. On November 2nd, Mr. Perry began his career at Modern Transportation, accepting the challenge of significantly growing and diversifying Modern’s 3PL book of business.
“We are pleased to have Chris join our team,” shares Patrick Cozzens, President of Modern. “His vast knowledge of the market and his keen understanding and focus on customer needs will greatly compliment the level of 3PL participation we have achieved to this point.”
Prior to joining Modern, Mr. Perry served A & R Logistics in various roles of increasing responsibility over the past five years. His most recent assignment, as Director of Operations, charged him with responsibility for planning, management, and growth of all aspects of A & R’s third party logistics division.
Mr. Perry is a graduate of the University of Iowa’s Henry B. Tippie College of Business, earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a focus on Marketing. In his new role at Modern Transportation, he will maintain his residence in the Greater Chicagoland area, a location that will be central to Mr. Perry’s efforts to build relationships with his clients.
