New Video Features Children’s Vision for the “School of the Future”
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) November 10, 2015 -- According to six, seven, and eight year olds, the school of the future includes spaceship school buses, holograms, and machines that prepare forgotten lunches. These are just a few of the ideas shared by children in Connections Education’s newest “School of the Future” video; recognizing invention and celebrating all types of school. Connections Education is a K-12 online learning provider that supports virtual schools and programs across the U.S. The video release coincides with the 2015 iNACOL (International Association for K-12 Online Learning) symposium that brings together the online and blended learning community each year.
“As a provider of innovative learning solutions, we’re always looking to the future of education and school. This video promotes the voice of the future—children, and highlights, not surprisingly, how they envision technology shaping school of the future. It also supports our company’s commitment to the overarching discussion about online learning and the role it plays in the evolving education landscape. Finally, it reconnects us, for a few moments, with the incredibly important hopes and dreams (that include a lot of rocket ships) of students,” commented Christina Goldie Williamson who oversaw the creative direction for the video for Connections Education.
The children featured were asked to draw a picture of their school of the future and then describe, in their own words, what the school would look like and offer. Filming was done at the Maryland Science Center.
