Coverys Secures Strategic Alliance with the MHA Keystone Center
Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 12, 2015 -- Coverys, a leading provider of medical professional liability insurance and related services, announced that it has established a strategic alliance with the Michigan Health and Hospital Association (MHA) Keystone Center. Through this alliance, MHA Keystone Center has named Coverys its preferred provider of medical professional liability insurance.
Coverys will recognize the use of the MHA Keystone Center’s Premium Hospital Readmission Analytics Tool, “Readmetrix”, for a three percent risk management premium credit for eligible Coverys policyholders who are also MHA Keystone Center members. Readmetrix allows hospitals to track readmissions in order to identify care improvement and cost-reduction opportunities. Users can analyze readmission rates for key conditions including pneumonia, heart failure, acute myocardial infarction and joint replacement; track improvement progress for care transition efforts; and to better understand the care conditions that effect readmissions to reduce the likelihood of readmission for future patients.
Additionally, MHA Keystone Center will provide a ten percent discount on the price of the Premium Level Readmetrix tool to Coverys policyholders in Michigan.
“Coverys is very pleased to join MHA Keystone Center in this strategic alliance that will provide our policyholders who are MHA Keystone Center members with valuable benefits from both organizations,” said Gregg L. Hanson, CEO and president for Coverys. “This alliance will assist Coverys policyholders to understand the causes of readmissions so that they can take action to reduce readmissions and positively influence clinical, operational and financial outcomes. The premium credit along with the negotiated price discount on the Readmetrix tool supports our commitment to policyholders to assist them in managing the costs associated with the practice of medicine.”
“We are recognizing Coverys as our preferred provider of medical professional liability insurance for its financial strength and our shared commitment to improving the quality of healthcare at Michigan hospitals through innovations and collaboration,” said Brian Peters, CEO of the MHA. Coverys has been a longtime supporter of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, and the alliance between our two organizations provides MHA Keystone Center members with cost-effective access to Coverys’ high quality products and services.”
