ADLINK Announces Intelligent IoT Gateway Based on Intel® Quark™ SoC X1021 Processor

The MXE-100i Series features Intel® Quark™ SoC X1021 processors and supports the Intel® IoT Gateway.
The MXE-100i gateway acquires and transmits sensor data to the cloud via highly integrated networking, wireless and industrial I/O. Complying with industrial grade EMI/EMS standards (EN 61000-6-4, 61000-6-2) and delivering superior grade construction, the MXE-100i Series meets a wide variety of industrial needs. The combination of Wind River® IDP with ADLINK’s SEMA (Smart Embedded Management Agent) solution maximizes manageability and security critical to Industrial IoT applications. The MXE-100i Series embodies seamless connectivity and data transmission between users and the cloud, while ensuring interoperability of edge devices, making it ideal for embedded applications such as industrial automation, machine automation, and M2M communications.

Measuring only 4.68 x 3.9 x 21.7 inches, the MXE-100i is an ultra-compact IoT gateway fully operable in environments from -20°C to 70°C. Aluminum housing and proven rugged construction assures total functionality under demanding conditions, featuring industrial grade EMI/EMS certification, and sustaining operating vibration up to 5 Grms and shock up to 100 G. A full suite of industrial I/O features, including two high-speed LAN, two COM, three USB 2.0 host and SDIO, dual mini PCIe slots and USIM socket for maximum communicability via protocols such as WiFi, BT and 3G for optimized connectivity.
EdgePro Utility Enables Fast Deployment and Easy Configuration
To simplify device-cloud connection and accelerate IoT application development, ADLINK further provides a proprietary IoT device & sensor management utility, ADLINK EdgePro. The device & sensor management application runs on Intel® IoT Gateway, enabling device and sensor management via plug-in for field protocols including ZigBee (Home Automation Profile) and the commonly adopted fieldbus Modbus TCP for industrial automation, all easily configured with sensors or I/O nodes with a user-friendly Web-based dashboard allowing remote monitoring of status and actuator control. In addition, EdgePro enables simple configuration of reliable and secure connectivity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Windows Azure Cloud, providing a complete IoT connection solution for accelerated IoT application development.
