Converge Doubles Anticipated Attendance at Converge 2015
Cedar Rapids, IA (PRWEB) November 16, 2015 -- Converge Consulting hosted its second-annual digital marketing conference for higher education in New Orleans on October 21-23. More than 200 marketing and recruiting officials from colleges and universities across the country showed up to learn what’s new and next in higher education.
The conference took place in the heart of the French Quarter at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel. Throughout this three-day conference, industry leaders from Google, Hubspot and Moz, as well as thought leaders from campuses around the country, gave attendees insight into marketing trends and tips on how to make marketing campaigns stronger in the digital space. Converge sponsored networking events, where attendees came together to share their ideas.
“Surrounding ourselves with the industry’s best and brightest proved to be successful in shaping the discussion around what’s new and next in higher education,” said Ann Oleson, CEO and founder of Converge Consulting.
Converge also hosted an event focused on engagement of attendees with a parade down Bourbon Street. Conference goers were invited to dress up in Mardi Gras beads, boas, and masks and walk down the streets of New Orleans to the beat of the Big Easy Jazz Band. The event ended at a unique event Dinner Lab on a rooftop overlooking the city. Dinner Lab was started by a Tulane MBA and is in 31 states. Converge believed that a New and Next event complimented the theme of the conference.
“If you want to take a temperature reading of higher education marketing trends, there may be no better gathering to do so than Converge Consulting’s annual inbound digital marketing conference,” said Jay Sharman, CEO of TeamWorks Media.
Attendees, exhibitors and speakers immersed themselves in the city’s vibrant culture and lifestyle. New Orleans helped Converge create a conference setting that was not only informative, but also interactive and fun.
“[Converge 2015] was so valuable for what I do,” said attendee Sharon Ayala of Point Loma Nazarene University. “I could see myself attending this conference annually.”
On the heels of a successful event in New Orleans, Ann Oleson will be joined by Rachel Dohrmann of the Texas A&M Foundation to present at the American Marketing Association Symposium of Higher Education in Chicago on November 16, 2015. Their Advanced Marketing Session, “A Deep Dive Into: Universal Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Measuring ROI by Setting Up Goals and Dashboards.” The presentation will be a resource for better understanding the how and why of analytic measurement, including examples from the Converge and Texas A&M partnership.
The Converge team will also exhibit during the four day AMA Symposium, providing free consultations to attendees discussing and gaining better understanding specific challenges and roadblocks schools are facing.
Converge Consulting is excited to announce that its third-annual conference will take place in Palm Springs, California on February 21-24, 2017. Registration is now open for Converge 2017, which promises to be another memorable event.
