Fullerton Food Drive Provides hundreds of bags full of food to needy during holidays

"Their volunteering on projects like this major food drive show our commitment as an organization to help as many families in need as possible," said Terry LeClair, Senior VP, Sales First Team Real Estate.

As the holiday season begins, volunteers from First Team Real Estate's Fullerton and Whittier offices are gearing up to help the Salvation Army and Pathways of Hope deliver over two tons of food to needy families in North Orange County and Southeast Los Angeles County during this festive time of the year.

"Last year we distributed over 10,000 bags to homes across two counties and we got an incredible response of nearly two tons of food," said Greg Carrescia, Office Manager of the Fullerton & Whittier offices for First Team Real Estate. "This year we are in full swing distributing bags and receiving donations guaranteed to warm the holidays for those in need."

Working with long-time charity partners Pathways of Hope and The Salvation Army, the First Team Real Estate Fullerton office is doing its part to help the more than 600,000 residents in Orange County and hundreds of thousands more in Southeast Los Angeles County who are at risk of missing their next meal.

"These agents are actively solving problems and making Orange County and Southeast Los Angeles County a better place to live for every resident," explained Terry LeClair, Senior Vice President, Sales for First Team Real Estate. "Their volunteering on projects like this major food drive show our commitment as an organization to help as many families in need as possible."

Bags are being distributed door-to-door by local First Team agents in the neighborhoods they serve nearly every day. Each of the over 10,000 grocery bags come with easy-to-follow instructions on the bag, and a date to leave the bag on the curb in front of their home. Homeowners just need to fill up the bag with food and leave it on the curb on the listed date; a First Team agent will do the rest.

"From their own doorstep, Southern California residents can help make the holidays special for those in our community at risk for being hungry," said Greg Carrescia. "Putting this program together every year takes a great level of commitment from First Team agents, our staff, and the wonderful charities we partner with; and we are very proud of their incredible work and its profound impact."
