Clinical Informatics Pioneer and Physician, Dr. Douglas Rosendale, Joins Diagnotes® Advisory Council
Indianapolis, Ind. (PRWEB) November 16, 2015 -- Dave Wortman, chairman and CEO of Diagnotes Inc., has announced the appointment of Douglas E. Rosendale, DO, FACOS, FACS, to the company’s Advisory Council.

Dr. Rosendale is the Founder and CEO of CAIRNformatics LLC, which provides Clinical Informatics consulting services to several Fortune 500 healthcare companies as well as small and medium sized companies entering the health innovation domain. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Dr. Rosendale was Senior Physician Advisor for Clinical Informatics in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Health Information. He was the co-CMIO (Chief Medical Information Officer) of the VA/DoD Interagency Program Office for the joint electronic health record. He founded and chaired the Health IT Innovation Development (HITIDE) program under the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the Networking IT R&D (NITRD), which established a governance model for innovation across all federal agencies involved in health.

A fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons as well as the American College of Surgeons, Rosendale was affiliate faculty for the Harvard Decision Systems Group Informatics program and is now affiliate faculty at the University of California San Diego Medical Informatics program. In 2006, he received the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons “Presidential Recognition Award.”
