Palm Bay, Florida; iBox Printers announces the launch of the iBox Macro on crowd-funding site Kickstarter. The Macro is the worlds first 3D Printer to utilize Carbon Fiber Resin. Consumers will benefit from its high resolution, small footprint, and extremely strong Carbon Fiber Resin while creating assemblies, models, tools, and structural components; starting at $499.

iBox Printers believes the iBox Macro will accelerate the adoption of 3D printers because of its ability to print in Carbon Fiber as well as Color and Castable Resins. Cordless WiFi browser based printing simplifies the user experience by allowing browser based printing from any client, including mobile devices, without installing software. The Macro is also a full featured Linux computer integrating a Raspberry Pi and has 32 Gig of storage, 4x USB ports for mouse and keyboard and will drive an external 4K monitor via its integrated HDMI port. The Macro is a 3D Printer that can also be used as a computer.

The iBox Macro is being crowd-funded on Kickstarter with pricing starting at $499 for early birds. Post Kickstarter the iBox Macro will be for sale on Amazon and http://www.iBoxPrinters.com for $1499 USD retail. With its most comparable competitor, the Form 2, retailing for $3500, the Macro will be the most affordable option for 3D Resin Printing.

iBox Printers continues to diverge from the rest of the additive manufacturing industry by using UV-LCD technology. While most stereolithography (SLA) printers use expensive lasers or projectors, iBox has developed a technique that uses powerful LEDs. This technology allows for a more affordable system without compromising print resolution/quality.
