iManage CEO Neil Araujo Addresses Impact of Consumerization of IT on Law Firms at Legal Tech Asia
CHICAGO, IL (PRWEB) November 16, 2015 -- Neil Araujo, the CEO and co-founder of iManage, the leading provider of Work Product Management solutions for legal, accounting, government and financial services firms, will be a featured speaker November 19 at Legal Tech Asia in Singapore. During his presentation, “Consumerization of IT and its Impact on Driving User Adoption & Productivity”, Araujo will summarize research conducted by iManage into the emergence of the mobile, tech savvy, “new” attorney. The new attorney is a mindset not necessarily linked to age. Whether senior associates, or the new generation of firm management, these attorneys are demanding change in the applications and tools that they use based in part on their experiences using consumer-like applications in their everyday lives. It is this mindset that is driving changes in how Legal IT is expected to operate.
“The new attorney today has become so accustomed getting the information he or she needs, from their preferred devices, whenever and wherever they are,” said Araujo. “But often, the software and mobility solutions at their firms have not kept up with the times, which can lead them to ‘go rogue’ and expose the firm to unnecessary risk. iManage is addressing these issues by delivering Work Product Management solutions that are intuitive to use and proven to increase adoption and improve productivity.”
Araujo, who has more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise software market, will explain how law firms and corporate legal departments can ensure that their technology investments will be embraced by users, and discuss the types of innovations that resonate with the new professional. His presentation will take place from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. at the Marina Bay Sands.
iManage Customers Featured Speakers on the Role of the Law Firm CIO
Also on the Legal Tech Asia agenda are speakers from three Australian law firms that are iManage customers: Aaron Elliott, IT manager for HWL Ebsworth; Ben Swindale, global project management lead at King Wood & Mallesons; and Peter Campbell, CIO and knowledge director for Sparke Helmore. These speakers will participate in a panel entitled “The Prophecy: The Role of the Law Firm CIO in 2020, 2030 and Beyond”, during which they’ll address the continued rapid pace of technological change, and how the typical South East Asian firm will evolve over the next 15 years.
