NAU Partners With Bridge360 Program to Provide Career Training For Veterans
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) November 17, 2015 -- National American University (NAU) is excited to announce its partnership with Bridge360 to provide free courses for returning veterans through the Veterans4Qualtiy Program. This is a fast-track career-training program for veterans to help them transition into civilian careers providing coursework and hands-on training for becoming a software quality assurance engineer. The experts of Bridge360 have designed the curriculum and on-the-job training program to accelerate the process for veterans to start careers as software quality assurance engineers.
“It is important at National American University that we support a veteran’s transition by providing the knowledge they need to meet the needs of today’s organizations. As a veteran, I also found that education played a big part in my transition. It is exciting to support programs like Veterans4Quality which provides a fast-track career training solution in the growing industry of technology,” said Weston Neiffer, Associate Vice President of Military Services at NAU.
This 15-week program includes 7 weeks of classroom instruction followed by a 90-day paid internship. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Software Quality Assurance Certificate. Students in the program will gain work experience at local companies such as Bridge360, Dell, Whole Foods, and other technology companies in Austin under the guidance of Bridge360 experts, to implement hands-on, real-world applications of what they have learned in the classroom. This program is currently offered at NAU’s Austin campus located at 13801 Burnet Road and will expand to our other Austin area locations in the near future.
