Command Partners, a full-service digital marketing agency, is rallying together with other marketing agencies across the Charlotte Metro area to join in the fight against hunger with an #AgenciesFeedCLT canned food drive. From November 16th through December 15th, Command Partners, along with Pinckney Marketing, Mode Branding, CGR Creative and BooneOakley, will be collecting canned food at various office locations to be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
To end the month-long canned food drive, the public is invited to an #AgenciesFeedCLT Networking Event at Sycamore Brewing (2161 Hawkins St., Charlotte, NC 28203) on December 14th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Each guest who arrives with at least one donation item will receive a raffle ticket to be entered to win a $50 gift card to Sycamore Brewing. According to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, the most needed goods are beef stew, peanut butter, pasta, tuna, dry beans, canned fruits, 100% fruit juices, canned vegetables, cereal and soups.
“The number of hungry families is increasing every year in the Charlotte Metro area,” said Command Partners President Roy Morejon. “By joining forces with other marketing agencies in the area, we are able to expand our reach and increase the number of donations drastically, helping make sure no families, children and seniors go to bed hungry this holiday season.”
In the Metrolina area, there are over 221,000 hungry children and seniors and this number is continuing to grow. During 2013-2014, over 45 million pounds of food were collected for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. This year, Command Partners and participating marketing agencies plan to assist in increasing this number with the month-long canned food drive.
Command Partners began delivering collection boxes to participating agencies on November 12th. Donation boxes will then be collected from each agency on December 15th, with Second Harvest Food Bank collecting all filled donation boxes from Command Partners on December 18th. The hashtag #AgenciesFeedCLT is encouraged to be used on all social media platforms to spread awareness of the cause and increase the number of donations.
