Drink to the Future of Live Theater and Music at Nightcap Riot: Mombucha in NYC
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 19, 2015 -- Alchemists, alcoholics and artists alike:
What happens when the hospitality, theater and music worlds collide in revolutionary fashion? Nightcap Riot: the total night out experience. It is the ultimate date night, an opportunity to meet new, creative friends, to play with artists, to drink from the next dimension and to see the theater and music of the future.
Nightcap Riot is pleased to announce its first production – Nightcap Riot: Mombucha – which will occur over 16 nights from January 15th – February 14th, 2016 at Magick City, the warehouse home of Mombucha kombucha, at 37 Box Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222. There are only 50 tickets available per night to participate in the event, which encompasses three difference entertainment experiences – a craft artisanal beverage tasting, a full production of a world-premiere play and a concert.
For the craft artisanal beverage component of the evening, head Mombucha brewer Rich Awn will offer a tour of Magick City, tastings of various Mombucha varietals (including flavors like Black Vanilla, Gingermint and Orange Blood) and even teach Nightcap Rioters how to brew their own kombucha. Nightcap Riot will feature Mombucha-focused cocktails throughout the evening at a unique bar curated by Awn and beverage expert and restaurateur John Livanos.
The world-premiere play is “Destiny and the Little Man”: Jim Knable’s ferocious and hilarious battle of wits between a 26-year-old Napoleon Bonaparte and a mysterious lady who may be a ruthless Viennese spy. Nightcap Riot is thrilled to present Knable’s world premiere adaptation of G.B. Shaw’s “The Man of Destiny” directed by Bruce Levitt.
Nightcap Riot climaxes with concerts curated by some of New York City’s top music minds. Each and every night will feature robust, dynamic artists performing and fusing energies in a setting that celebrates what it means to revel in arts from across the spectrum. Musical acts during the course of the run include The K.i.D. featuring JC Brooks of JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound, Douglas and the Goodharts, SisterMonk, TJ Byrnes’ Transmission Party, The Foxfires, Tarana, Natti Vogel and Twiga.
Nightcap Riot turns unused space at hotels, restaurants, breweries, wineries and distilleries into dynamic entertainment destinations with some of the world's greatest artists. Alex Gruhin and Ariel Reid, two graduates of Cornell University’s Hotel School, founded the company to start conversations between the performing arts and hospitality worlds and to create a new, sustainable model for producing entertainment and creating dynamic hospitality experiences.
Tickets to Nightcap Riot: Mombucha are priced at $50 and can be purchased at nightcapriot.com
