BOSTON, Mass. (PRWEB) November 18, 2015 -- Vaultive, the cloud data protection company, today announced the appointment of Bruce Johnson as vice president of global sales and Doug Lane vice president of product marketing. Both executives will play central roles in accelerating Vaultive’s momentum as the company capitalizes on growing demand for strong protection of data stored and used in cloud applications.
“Software-as-service usage is skyrocketing, and Vaultive plays a pivotal role in helping risk-averse organizations move to the cloud securely,” said Jonas Hellgren, CEO of Vaultive. “Bruce and Doug bring the perfect blend of experience, industry credibility, and drive to propel Vaultive into its next phase of growth.”
As VP of sales and business development at Vormetric, a leading data-at-rest encryption vendor that is being acquired by Thales, Johnson grew annual revenues to over $40 million per year and was instrumental in the company’s ascent to category leadership. He has over 25 years of experience building high-performance information security sales teams that span areas such as user behavior analytics, data security, intrusion detection and prevention, security policy compliance and two-factor authentication.
“Cloud security is at the top of the IT agenda at many organizations, and Vaultive’s unique cloud data protection capabilities help organizations of all sizes embrace SaaS with confidence,” said Johnson. “It’s must-have technology, and I look forward to helping organizations facing regulatory hurdles and international data residency laws remove all obstacles to cloud adoption.”
Lane has a 20-year track record of successfully bringing new products to market and maximizing the performance and market visibility of established products. He played key marketing and product management leadership roles in startup environments at Virtual Computer and Guardent and at growth-stage companies such as VeriSign and AppSense. He has proven success developing product strategies to capitalize on high-growth technology segments like information security and virtualization and aligning sales and customer needs with product development execution.
“Vaultive has a one-of-a-kind product that gives organizations complete control over data in the cloud while preserving SaaS application user experience,” said Lane. “It’s the right product at the right time as more business activities shifts to the cloud, and I’m excited to partner with a winning leadership team to capitalize on the tremendous opportunity in front of us.”
