Goodshop Turns Sunday, November 29th into the Feel Good Shopping Event of the Year
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 24, 2015 -- Goodshop.com -- the company known for its innovative “coupons for good” shopping website -- today announced the second annual Goodshop Sunday event, held on November 29, 2015, where consumers across the country will be given the opportunity to turn their holiday shopping dollars into meaningful donations to the charity of their choice – at no cost to them.
Featuring exclusive deals and donations from retailers such as Macys deals, Ralph Lauren savings, Nike promo codes, Staples coupons, and more, Goodshop Sunday aims to turn every single purchase into a “gift that gives back” to the 114,000 nonprofits and schools with whom the company currently partners. To date, Goodshop has already raised nearly $12 million that has gone towards finding homes for stray dogs, funding cancer research, building school libraries and so much more.
According to a recent Goodshop Consumer Survey, conducted through SurveyMonkey , 76% of Americans wish that they could be doing more during the holidays to support the causes they care about, and 87% report that it makes a difference to them whether or not the products that they buy support a cause in some way. Goodshop Sunday, a “coupons-for-good” shopping day nestled in between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, offers consumers a new way to shop and save at the best merchants, give back with every dime spent, and feel good about their holiday shopping.
Participating in Goodshop Sunday has never been easier. First, users sign up for Goodshop and simply select their desired cause (ranging from The American Cancer Society to a local SPCA). Leading up to Goodshop Sunday, thousands of stores will list their best coupons and deals on Goodshop.com. Users choose the coupons and deals they want and each participating merchant will then offer a percentage of each purchase to the user’s charity of choosing. With Goodshop, “You Shop. You Save. We Give”; making Goodshop Sunday the best day to do your online shopping this season.
“With the National Retail Federation reporting that Americans will spend over $100 billion online on holiday shopping this year, the opportunity to make an impact is big” said Scott Garell, Goodshop CEO. “With an average of nearly 3% of our sales going to nonprofits and schools, Goodshoppers have the potential to make a huge difference this holiday shopping season.”
“We’ve been thrilled with our Goodshop partnership as it gives our supporters an incredibly easy way to support our cause as they do their holiday shopping. So far, supporters have raised more than $12,000 via Goodshop which has helped us care for thousands of animals in need,” says Kristie Tanner of The Humane Society of the United States.
So far, Goodshoppers have helped raise nearly $12 million for the more than 110,000 nonprofits and schools that Goodshop partners with. Additionally, Goodshop coupons have helped save people over $100 million.
