The InLogis/Pixel Active Magnetic Loop Antenna Now Available Exclusively at DX Engineering
Tallmadge, OH (PRWEB) November 20, 2015 -- Amateur Radio operators have relied on the RF-PRO-1B Active Magnetic Loop Antenna for decades. Now, it is manufactured and sold exclusively by DX Engineering. DX Engineering will also continue to offer all of the service, replacement and repair parts required to keep this antenna in good operating condition.
The DX Engineering Active Magnetic Loop Antenna provides excellent 160-10 meter coverage and has “figure-eight” directivity and rotating capability. Unlike a large Beverage or dipole, this HF receive antenna can be mounted to a rotator, giving operators the ability to null-out unwelcome signals. In fact, it can provide up to 30 dB of rejection when compared to a traditional whip antenna.
By reducing radio frequency interference (RFI), operators are able to better hear the signals they want. That’s a particularly handy feature for Hams dealing with RFI from nearby stations, power lines, or household appliances. Switching bands is easy too, as the antenna requires no manual tuning.
More importantly, the antenna itself is about the size of a hula-hoop—much smaller than similar high-performance receive antennas. This makes the DX Engineering Active Magnetic Loop Antenna an attractive option to HF operators facing space constraints or strict neighborhood antenna restrictions. Its modular construction means that the antenna is easy to install or disassemble for storage. The antenna mounts to a pole or flat vertical surface.
The DX Engineering Active Magnetic Loop Antenna is a receive-only design and comes complete with a low-noise preamp to ensure excellent performance.
