New programming will focus on AV/IT/Media technology, education and training

The UBTech Conference and CCUMC (The Consortium of College and University Media Centers) announced a new agreement today to create additional specialized programming at the annual UBTech Conference.

The new collaborative alliance between CCUMC and UBTech begins immediately, with a priority on launching several new CCUMC-driven program sessions at UBTech 2016, which convenes at The Mirage in Las Vegas, June 6-8.

“Our agreement with UBTech creates expanded benefits for campus leaders of media centers nationwide,” said Aileen Scales, CCUMC Executive Director. “UBTech is an established major higher ed technology conference. We are thrilled that we can contribute to its program, and provide colleges and universities with strategies for successfully deploying and managing the latest media technologies.”

“CCUMC brings significant added value to the UBTech conference program,” remarked Daniel E. Kinnaman, President of UBTech. “Our goal at UBTech is to equip everyone involved in campus AV/IT and media initiatives with the most current, cutting-edge insights, so that they can excel in a challenging, rapidly-changing technology environment. Our collaboration with CCUMC definitely helps us accomplish this.”

UBTech and CCUMC will cross-promote their joint activities in the higher education conference and training space, with an emphasis on attendance and participation at UBTech 2016 by CCUMC members, the audience of University Business magazine, and leaders of campus IT/AV/Media Center nationwide.
