NCES, the one-stop source for nutrition education, has created the ultimate diabetes education kit and released just in time to create awareness for American Diabetes Association’s National Diabetes Month.

Nearly 30 million children and adults in the United States are living with Diabetes, while another 86 million have prediabetes. (Source: diabetes.org) These statistics make it alarmingly clear that diabetes education is the key in turning these statistics around and helping more Americans live a life free from the ailments of diabetes. NCES is committed to diabetes education by providing resources for diabetes educators.

“Diabetes has become such a prevalent problem here in the United States. Because of this apparent need, we’ve been working hard to increase the amount, and quality, of diabetes education resources that we offer our educators. They do such an important job and we just want to make it easier for them!” says Chris Jackson, CEO of NCES, Inc.

As part of the commitment to diabetes education, NCES has introduced the new NCES Complete Diabetes Resource Kit. This kit includes hands-on educational pieces, interactive games, as well as take-home educational pieces for the client, making it the perfect resource for every diabetes office. To accompany this kit, NCES is also introducing the NCES Complete Foot Care Kit for Diabetes. This kit is a comprehensive kit for teaching about common foot problems and proper foot care.
