G2 Crowd, the world’s leading business software review platform, today released the Winter 2016 Cross-Channel Advertising Software GridSM report to help businesses make the best technology decision. Marin Software, Kenshoo, Sizmek and DoubleClick Digital Marketing were named Leaders in the report, receiving strong customer satisfaction scores with a large market presence. Additionally, MediaMath was named a High Performer, earning a strong customer satisfaction mark with a smaller market presence score. Kenshoo earned the highest overall satisfaction score while DoubleClick Digital Marketing earned the highest overall Market Presence score.
The GridSM leverages customer satisfaction data reported by authenticated users along with vendor market presence determined from social and public data. Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche.
In comparison to G2 Crowd’s Winter 2015 Cross-Channel Advertising Software GridSM report, mobile-specific ratings have increased across the board. Mobile functionality as a whole increased to a 79 percent average feature rating compared to the previous average of 74 percent. Other mobile features such as mobile tracking, in-app ads, and mobile rich media capabilities also saw increases since Winter 2015.
Additional key findings revealed that cross-channel advertising platforms are still figuring out how to detect and account for bot traffic. In feature questions, fraud protection received one of the lowest-rated average features rating at 74 percent.
Interestingly, DoubleClick Digital Marketing, MediaMath, Rocket Fuel, DataXu and IgnitionOne Digital Marketing Suite were the only platforms to serve five out of the six advertising channels (search, display, video, mobile, social and DSP), while no ranked platform serves all.
Since the Winter 2015 GridSM report, Sizmek moved from High Performer to Leader as its satisfaction score increased by 12 points and its Market Presence score increased by 20 points. In addition, AdRoll moved from High Performer to Niche as its satisfaction rating decreased by 19 points, while its Market Presence score increased by three points. Adobe Media Optimizer also experienced changes on Grid Velocity as its Satisfaction and Market Presence scores increased by 9 points and 6 points, respectively.
