KME's Mark Essayian Joins Orange County Sheriffs Community Technology Advisory Council (TAC)
Irvine, California (PRWEB) November 23, 2015 -- Mark Essayian of KME Systems, an Orange County IT service provider, recently received a great honor within the Orange County information technology sector. Mark has been asked to join the Orange County Sheriff/Coroner’s Technology Advisory Council (TAC). TAC is a volunteer advisory group comprised of top technology experts who provide advice and consultation to the OC Sherriff/Coroner.
Formed by Orange County Sherriff Sandra Hutchens, the TAC is dedicated to understanding and influencing the future of technology utilized by the OC Sherriff’s department. A fully-independent organization OCSD TAC, works to support improvements across the full spectrum of technical solutions. As requested TAC helps by providing advice and consult to the Sheriff, members of the Department’s Command staff and IT leadership on best practices to improve operational efficiency and maintain security and reliability.
As with all members, to be accepted into the TAC, Mark had to be vetted and presented to the department for approval by TAC’s chairman, Kevin McDonald, and then pass a rigorous background investigation conducted by the OC Sherriff’s Department’s investigators. Mark was officially cleared to serve as a member of TAC earlier this year.
“Mark genuinely believes in offering his skills and services to the Sheriff and the greater department. Having lived in Orange County for almost 35 years, he clearly has a very strong connection to our community,” said Kevin McDonald OCSD TAC’s Chairman. "When an opportunity presented itself for Mark to give back, he did not hesitate. He was especially keen to utilize his technology skills and experience for the community’s benefit,” McDonald continued.
Mark and the KME Systems team welcome this as an opportunity to provide his insights and apply his many years of technology sector experience alongside his peers. “We all believe in helping the community and providing additional assistance to enhance the capabilities of the already exceptional IT team at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Doing my civic duty for Orange County is just an extension of what I already do for KME,” said Mark Essayian. “I am really looking forward to working with the council and the department.”
