“Thank you to everyone who has come and enjoyed our shrimp, crab and lobster right along with us,” said Mike Ungaro, Vice President, San Pedro Fish Market & Restaurant.

As 2015’s holiday season rapidly approaches, California’s largest restaurant, San Pedro Fish Market & Restaurant has already established this year as its biggest yet for sales having crossed the threshold of 325,000 pounds of shrimp sold by the end of October.

“Thank you to everyone who has come and enjoyed our shrimp, crab and lobster right along with us,” said Mike Ungaro, Vice President, San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant. “This has been our biggest year ever both at the Market and Restaurant and in retail locations as well.”

Featured this year on an episode of the Travel Channel’s Seafood Paradise 2 where it was called ‘the best place to take your family for seafood’, San Pedro Fish Market has seen its attendance increase substantially in the last decade after steady growth since opening in 1956.

“We are a family run market and restaurant that has steadily grown by offering families a great opportunity to sit together, enjoy great food and do all of that on the water in the Port of Los Angeles,” explained Mike Ungaro. “We always remember that we serve generations of families every day that have shared their celebrations and occasions with us.”

The sale of 325,000 pounds of shrimp has been tracked through orders to the highest quality vendors around the globe for shrimp, and in the sales both in the market and restaurant. On pace to have more paid guests this year than last year’s record 1.1 million, the rate of shrimp and seafood sales have kept up with the increase in guest counts.

“At the end of last year, we were hopeful that we would continue to have people come back and we are honored to see the growth,” said Ungaro. “2016 is already shaping up to be a year of firsts for the San Pedro Fish Market and our offerings so stay tuned.”

Founded in 1956, San Pedro Fish Market & Restaurant has grown into a top rated destination on the LA waterfront whose seafood, Lonely Planet described by saying, “Seafood feasts don't get any more decadent than at this family-run harbor-view institution.” Routinely serving more than 20,000 diners each week, San Pedro Fish Market is also one of the most recognized brands in the frozen food section of premium and mass market supermarkets across the Southwest and Hawaii where consumers can pick from four microwavable versions of our World Famous Shrimp Tray. Just as at the restaurant and market, all ingredients are the freshest available and meant to be prepared and enjoyed directly in the kitchen with your favorite ice cold beverage.
