A Better World and BetterWorldians Radio are teaming up to spread gratitude and kindness in time for the holiday season.
BetterWorldians Radio today kicked off a four-week-long Gratitude Series featuring four notable guests who will each speak about the importance of gratitude and its positive impact. (BetterWorldiansRadio.com) BetterWorldians Radio is a podcast that inspires with the people and ideas that are making the world a better place.
The Gratitude Series line up is as follows:
November 24th: Janice Kaplan, author of The Gratitude Diaries
December 1st: Louie Schwartzberg, filmmaker behind Gratitude Revealed
December 8th: Robert Emmons, PhD, leading scientific expert on gratitude
December 15th: Emiliana Simon-Thomas, PhD, Greater Good Science Center

Additionally, A Better World - the do-good virtual world game on Facebook - is introducing a new feature that allows players to send support to their BetterWorldian neighbors through the use of emojis. Players can now send smiles, hugs, love, and prayers to show community members that they care.
“A Better World has always emphasized real acts of kindness from our players, and our new feature enables our community to show how much they care for others, both inside and outside the game. That’s especially important during the holiday season when peace and goodwill are on all our minds,” said A Better World’s Chief Product Officer, Gregory Hansell.
A Better World encourages gratitude, habits of goodness, positive mindsets, and giving to social causes to make a difference. Fun rewards for doing good include dressing up, taking care of pets, and decorating virtual homes. Players also work together to meet do-good goals that, when met, release money to charities. A Better World calls this Cause Gaming®. (ABetterWorld.com)
In the spirit of the holiday season, A Better World is now 100% free until the end of the year. Through January 1st, the only currency accepted is acts of kindness and other social good you can do in game. If players perform 1,000,000 good deeds total by year end, A Better World will release funds to provide new coats for children in need nationwide through Operation Warm.
