Steve Bishop, Executive Director of the Florida Region of USA Volleyball, said, “This is another great lineup of coaches for our 2016 Team Florida Indoor HP All-Star program. With over 45 coaches applying for 24 positions, the committee was challenged with tough decisions and much deliberation went into the selection process. Fielding eight teams in 2016 will be our highest number since the inception of our program back in 2002. This year we will have coaches from nine different colleges on staff. I look forward to co-hosting the event in Ft. Lauderdale again and welcoming the world’s best junior volleyball teams to Florida!”
Team Florida is also excited to announce that the teams will be sponsored and outfitted by ASICS and 1st Place Volleyball, making this the 11th year in a row.
The High Performance Championship runs under FIVB (Federation Internationale de Volleyball) protocols which governs and manages all forms of volleyball across the globe. The FIVB promotes competitions and satisfies sponsors’ needs. It aims to develop Volleyball as a major world media and entertainment sport, while giving athletes the exposure they need to further their careers in volleyball.
