SWC Technology Partners Named One of Chicago Tribune’s Top 100 Workplaces in 2015
Oak Brook, IL (PRWEB) November 24, 2015 -- SWC Technology Partners, an award-winning provider of IT solutions to mid-market organizations, announced that it has been named one of the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces in 2015. The report, which ranks workplaces solely on employee feedback, ranked SWC Technology Partners 14th among small businesses. SWC was one of only 100 employers recognized in the annual workplace report, a combined effort between the Chicago Tribune and its partner, Workplace Dynamics LLC, to identify the Chicagoland area’s best places to work.
In addition to the Chicago Tribune Top Workplaces award, the company was recognized in 2015 as one of Crain’s Chicago Business Best Places to Work for the fourth consecutive year, as well as one of Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For for the seventh consecutive year.
“Being recognized as one of the best places to work in Chicago is a true reminder that our future as a firm is inherently tied to our commitment to each other. I continue to be humbled and honored to be a part of the SWC team,” said President Bob Knott. “SWC is a special place to work because of the employees that work here. It’s not the other way around.”
SWC works hard to maintain an innovative culture with top-notch talent who are recognized and appreciated for their contributions. In fact, Bob Knott personally meets with every new employee within their first week to get to know them as an individual. One of the ways that SWC shows its dedication to helping employees grow their careers is through its award-winning career development program. This program rewards employees for growing their skills through hundreds of talent development and training events that SWC hosts every year.
In addition, employees are assigned career advocates. The career advocate is a senior or principal-level consultant who helps employees gain exposure to new projects and technologies and guides them along the path that they are most interested in pursuing.
“We’ve all heard it said that technology doesn’t stand still,” said Mary O’Brien, SWC consultant. “Unfortunately, too many IT jobs have you working with outdated technologies and processes. At SWC, you work with the latest technology while gaining the skills you need to grow your career. For a lot of people, after they are done with school their learning goes on the backburner. With SWC I get paid to do what I love while also learning from some of the brightest people in IT.”
