McLeod Software Announces the Release of LoadMaster™ Enterprise and PowerBroker™ Version 15.2 and DocumentPower™ Version 15
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) November 30, 2015 -- McLeod has continued its blistering pace of product development by expanding the core functional capabilities of these products and the add-on modules available for customers.
Rapid Alert Notification System
One of the most valuable tools in the McLeod LoadMaster and PowerBroker system is the Rapid Alert Notification System (RANS) which detects events in the customer’s business and sends instant electronic notifications to the appropriate people, when those critical events occur. In this release, McLeod has greatly expanded the capabilities of RANS to notify the right people when expected events have not occurred with the new Overdue Events function within RANS. With this new capability, McLeod customers can now define the time at which any specific event is considered overdue and who should be notified.
FlowLogix Work Queue Processing
McLeod has expanded the capabilities of the company’s FlowLogix workflow management tool, and created more integral business process automation solutions within the LoadMaster and PowerBroker systems that employ the FlowLogix automated workflows to deliver “management by exception” capabilities for a wide range of typical customer business processes. FlowLogix takes this concept a step further by giving managers the ability to monitor and measure the business processes managed in the workflows, as well as individual employee performance in their assigned tasks.
With this product release, McLeod introduces Logix Solutions, a growing set of pre-packaged comprehensive business process automation solutions built with FlowLogix and Logix eForms and integral to the LoadMaster and PowerBroker systems. This family of products now includes e-Rate confirmation, Billing & Settlement, and Advanced Billing & Settlement, with more products on the way early in 2016.
The advantage of the Logix Solutions product family is that they can be easily, quickly, and inexpensively modified from their out-of-the-box state to meet the unique needs of a customer’s business process. At the same time, they have deep functionality for the intended business process, based on the workflow solutions McLeod has built for hundreds of trucking and logistics companies. The new Billing & Settlement or Advanced Billing & Settlement solutions provide a great starting point for an aggressive and comprehensive business process automation solution for customer billing and driver or carrier settlement in nearly any trucking oriented transportation business.
Private Notification Network
PowerBroker's Private Notification Network (PNN) module has added a brand new version of the current Available Loads function, which makes selected loads visible to the broker’s existing carriers via an email. This new version makes it easier for carriers who are offered loads to simply click on a link in the email and be directed a specific dispatcher, based on lane-specific definitions for that load, or geographic zones that the user can define. This shortens the process of covering loads by directing the response to the person who can work with the carrier to complete the transaction, based on the characteristics of the load.
PNN also stores each carrier’s preferences for the types of loads and specific geographies or lanes they prefer to work in. This preference profile has been restructured for more detailed carrier lane definitions, making it is possible to set up better lane filtering for the broker’s carriers and get faster, more accurate representations of the lanes that are truly of interest to specific carriers. Brokers can specify lane types by state, dispatch zone, zip code range and market area. Mixed lane types are also now supported for a carrier. And a new “exclude” option makes it easy to list the places a carrier does not want to travel.
The search features in PowerBroker that already help identify the right carriers to offer a load to now use these new carrier lane preference definitions, which have much greater detail, to identify carriers that are willing to operate in the geography that matches the available order. All of the PNN enhancements in PowerBroker Verison 15.2 make it easier for brokers to identify the loads that match the freight a carrier is looking for, offer it to them, and expedite the process, if they accept the load.
KSM Benchmark Report
For the past two years Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM), a leading trucking industry CPA and Consulting firm, has partnered with McLeod Software to produce a unique and valuable Trucking Operations Benchmarking Survey, based on data covering 215 data elements measured over a calendar year for a large number of U.S. based truckload carriers.
Receiving the results and analysis from this benchmark survey requires the carriers who would like to participate to generate the required operations data in a specific spreadsheet and submit it to KSM. KSM them compiles that data in a confidential way to protect the proprietary nature of each company’s data and produce the report.
With release of Version 15.2 of LoadMaster, the complete KSM benchmark report is built into the base system for McLeod customers, making it a piece of cake for any company who either wants to participate in the broader KSM/McLeod survey, or simply benchmark their own operations performance and measure changes year over year.
All of these features and dozens more that have been added to the McLeod Software transportation management platform with Version 15.2 are detailed for McLeod customers in our Version 15.2 Highlights document and the formal Version 15.2 Release Notes, which McLeod customers will receive this week from their sales and support teams.
