Gibson International Sponsors Make It Mar Vista Community Event
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 23, 2015 -- Gibson International Real Estate proudly joins the sponsors list for Make It Mar Vista, a Small Business Saturday community event on Venice Blvd. November 28th, 2015. Make It Mar Vista begins at 10am with a kickoff bike ride around the neighborhood and ends at approximately 4pm. Holiday shoppers are encouraged to visit local businesses on Venice Blvd. with the Mar Vista Passport (MVP). Participants will receive a stamp from from each business visited with prizes awarded for every stamp earned. Additional stamps will be provided for participants using alternative transportation, including walking or riding a bike. Free shuttle service will be available for patrons traveling on Venice Blvd. between Beethoven St. and Inglewood Blvd. Additionally, Vineyard Christian Fellowship is offering free childcare for parents.

Over 30 independent stores and restaurants in the area will be involved in Make It Mar Vista. The family-friendly event includes live musical performances from local musicians as well as school groups. Children can get involved by making holiday cards for troops and veterans in the Kids’ Craft area. Attendees of all ages will be able to contribute to the Paint-By-Numbers community mural, a large canvas to be on display at various locations as a symbol of the community coming together. Attendees are invited to share event photos and videos on social media using the hashtags #MakeItMarVista, #ShopSmall, and #LAGreatStreets.
Gibson International is one of several event sponsors, including the Mar Vista Farmers Market, Los Angeles City Councilman Mike Bonin, and the Mar Vista Community Council. Gibson International is also co-sponsoring the Santa Paws photo booth with the VCA on Venice Blvd. during Make It Mar Vista. The photo booth will be located in the VCA lobby. A professional photographer will be on site taking pictures of participants posing alone or with their pet with Marty aka Santa Paws. Participants will receive their pictures via email. Photos will appear on social media using the hashtags #gibsonintl and #VCAPets.
