The Leak, the fastest growing music syndication platform of 2015, reignites its partnership with entertainment giant Vevo, the music video service backed by Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group.

BoardMemberz’ newest platform, The Leak, is quickly becoming a giant in the digital music space. Vevo originally struck a syndication deal with the parent company of The Leak, BoardMemberz, back in 2011. At that time, The Leak was generating well over 15 million unique visitors a month. The renewed syndication deal affords The Leak with rights to stream Vevo's entire music video catalog. That extensive catalog includes original programming, live streamed events, and performance footage, in addition to music videos.

That deal also includes access to major labels such as Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group, which include Def Jam, Interscope, Epic, Columbia and more. This provides The Leak with the unique opportunity to release over 100,000 videos from the top artists in the world.

For BoardMemberz, this is a phenomenal acquisition for the growing music giant. The Leak thrives on its promise to create a unique and quality entertainment experience for EDM, Hip-Hop, Pop and Urban music lovers.

So what exactly is unique about The Leak, and why is it growing so rapidly among viewers? The Leak is a premier music syndication platform for urban and pop culture creators, influencers, and fans. The platform gives the artists creative freedom to release music videos, promote their songs, and connect directly with their fans.

Next, viewers can, at any time, sign up to become Contributors and share music they love.

Finally, The Leak’s custom platform also allows music fans to promote their favorite artists on their social media accounts, and earn money from the visitors they drive back to the site. This is significant because young adults spend a lot of time online. Now, they have an opportunity to earn money for that time, simply by signing up on The Leak, and sharing their favorite songs.

“I know we are making history with this platform,” says BoardMemberz President, Wayne Rose. “We have the first platform that rewards the artists, contributors, and fans. People are already sharing content all the time. Now they can share the music that they like, and earn some money while supporting their favorite artists,” states Rose.

Mahon Wise, BoardMemberz CTO, agrees with the unique strategy. “Our model is all about creating a win/win situation. There’s enough content for them to share the stuff they truly like, as well a great way for them to earn money and support the music they love,” chimes in Wise.

Rose has emphasized that The Leak will be a dominant player in the music industry and an ever-growing resource for its users, artists and fans. “We’re actively recruiting social media influencers, and people who love music, to join The Leak community and start sharing content. We want to show them that they can make money online, and they can shape and influence the future of the music industry. People who stand out will have opportunity to cover concerts and events. It’s a really positive situation,” says Wayne Rose. With this renewed Vevo deal, and plans to recruit as many as 10,000 people to take advantage of the opportunity, The Leak’s influence in the music industry will continue to get bigger.
