An amazing thing happens when an entrepreneur sees a potential opportunity in the market, or dreams up a new idea for a product/service: they retreat to a cave. announces the launch of its online collaboration platform, designed to increase the probability of success for innovative ideas and reduce their need for cash through collaboration. Ideagist’s launch comes strategically situated between Global Entrepreneurship Week 2015 (Nov. 16 – Nov 22), which was held in 122 U.S. cities and more than 160 countries worldwide, and the 2015 United Arab Emirates (UAE) Innovation Week (Nov 22 – Nov 28).

A first-of-its-kind service provider, Ideagist targets individuals and organizations with innovative ideas and those hoping to benefit from knowledge-based economies, by providing the necessary tools, opportunities and expertise to help make their ideas a reality. Ideagist’s online platform is expected to be the next trend in the idea economy, connecting tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, innovators and job creators.

Three years in the making, Ideagist was founded by Bir Ventures CEO Hassan Syed and a team of entrepreneurial and tech experts, who developed the company’s collaborative, service-based platform.

“Our idea is simple, we need new tools to work in the knowledge-based economy," says Hassan Syed, Ideagist CEO. “The team at IdeaGist believes that every idea deserves a chance to become a reality and everyone deserves an opportunity to pursue their dreams, which is why we created IdeaGist.”

Hassan likens the IdeaGist Global Community Network to Silicon Valley without borders.

“It has the potential to bring opportunities to hundreds of cities worldwide, by helping entrepreneurs with innovative ideas in launching their startups,” he says. “Supporting an economy that is based on knowledge and innovation should result in increased economic activity, creating more opportunities for everyone.”

A recent article from Forbes Magazine’s Eric T. Wagner titled “Five Reasons 8 out of 10 Businesses Fail” states that “dialogue is key.” Ideagist agrees, and its collaborative platform is designed with communication at the heart of its function.

“An amazing thing happens when an entrepreneur sees a potential opportunity in the market, or dreams up a new idea for a product/service: they retreat to a cave,” Wagner says.

Ideagist addresses this problem with a feedback tool on IdeaGist, called MindVest. MindVest helps entrepreneurs and innovators tap into the collective intelligence of a crowd, without giving away their whole idea. MindVest is a single tool in the largest collection of tools offered by IdeaGist to its members.

“Innovative tools like MindVest are needed by thousands of city communities worldwide, to help them engage their citizens in innovation and enable knowledge exchange”, says Francesco Calabrese, Founder and CEO of International Institute for Knowledge and Innovation.

Although headquartered in Minneapolis, the Ideagist Global Communities launch is taking place in Al Ain, UAE where Global Entrepreneurship Week meets UAE Innovation Week. UAE University and its newly established Science and Innovation Park are part of the global coalition behind IdeaGist. Professor Ghaleb Al Hadrami, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Graduate Studies, started the global network by registering as a mentor on Al Ain City Community as the first city level community on IdeaGist.

The team at IdeaGist invites entrepreneurs and innovative minds from all over the world build their own local communities while staying connected with the global movement of entrepreneurship.
