Best-selling Author and High-profile CEO to Speak at Irondequoit Country Club on December 8
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) November 25, 2015 -- Best-selling author and high-profile CEO Richard Sheridan will visit Irondequoit Country Club in Rochester on December 8 to present a breakfast seminar on how he transformed the working culture at Menlo Innovations LLC into one of the best places to work in the country.
The seminar, entitled “Bringing Joy to the Rochester Workplace,” is based on his chart-topping book Joy, Inc. which tells the story of how Sheridan created a joyful culture at Menlo Innovations. This seminar, sponsored by the Rochester Chapter of Conscious Capitalism and supported by the Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation and the Rochester Young Professionals, is for leaders in any field who want tangible examples for a healthier, happier atmosphere at work—and the sustainable business results required for growth. Attendees will come away with an inspirational blueprint for how to create a corporate culture centered on joy in their own workplace.
Following the seminar is a hands-on, high energy, interactive workshop on “Improving Stakeholder Alignment.” In this project simulation workshop, teams of attendees will work through stakeholder prioritization using a tool called Persona Mapping and scope prioritization using a tool called The Planning Game. Participants will learn how Menlo Innovations uses these tools to design products that end users love and how to incorporate these tools into any project team.
The seminar will begin at 7:30 a.m. and is open to the public. The workshop will follow immediately at 9:45 a.m. and will conclude at noon. Admission is $50 for the seminar and includes breakfast, $50 for the interactive workshop, or $80 to attend the seminar and workshop. All attendees will receive a free copy of Joy, Inc.
