High Fashion Home, a leader in modern, eclectic home furnishings, is proud to announce their achievement in helping to plant over 100,000 trees.

Operated in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, the “Making the World A Better Home” eco-initiative has allowed High Fashion Home to plant trees across a variety of states with a major emphasis on the Lost Pines Recovery Campaign in Bastrop, Texas.

Since committing to this great cause to support conservation in 2009, High Fashion Home has pledged to plant one tree for every piece of furniture purchased. This commitment has led to 104,411 new trees in various regions including Texas, Michigan, Florida, and Puerto Rico, with more than 83,000 in the state of Texas.

“Thanks to the kind generosity of High Fashion Home, we will be able to plant and distribute much-needed trees in the Bastrop, Texas area,” said Dan Lambe, president of the Arbor Day Foundation. “These trees will help to bring healing to communities, restore the forest land, and provide critical wildlife habitat."

A single tree can absorb up to 48 pounds of carbon dioxide and produce nearly 260 pounds of oxygen in just one year. For this reason, High Fashion Home is proud to play a part in helping environmental sustainability through a continuous effort to plant trees, which can lead to massive improvements in soil erosion, sizable decreases in air pollution, and the production of millions of pounds of oxygen over the course of 50 years.
