CloudOne CEO John McDonald Elected to Venture Club of Indiana Board of Directors
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) November 24, 2015 -- John McDonald, CEO of CloudOne (http://www.oncloudone.com), has been elected to the board of directors for the Venture Club of Indiana for a three-year term starting in 2016. As a result of McDonald’s leadership, CloudOne has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual list of America’s fastest-growing IT companies two years in a row. Formerly a technical sales executive at IBM for over 20 years, McDonald is one of the founding members and on the steering committee of the Cloud Customer Standards Council, a member of the IBM PartnerWorld Global Business Partner Advisory Council, and sits on the Industrial Advisory Board for Purdue Polytechnic Institute at Purdue University. McDonald was also an original IBM Champion in 2011, an honor granted every year since.
The Venture Club provides networking opportunities, education, and support to entrepreneurs and the innovation-minded, early stage investors, and those who work with them through monthly meetings and special events.
“John brings a wealth of experience and perspective that will be very beneficial for our programming and members. He is already influencing our discussions and direction in supporting growth funding for successful ventures. We are delighted to have him join the Board,” said Todd Saxton, associate professor of strategy and entrepreneurship at the IU Kelley School of Business and current president of the Board of Directors for the Venture Club of Indiana.
“I look forward to serving on the Venture Club board,” said John McDonald, CEO of CloudOne. “The collective business acumen of my fellow board members will allow us to provide strong leadership and invaluable insights to help Indiana’s emerging companies and established businesses be successful.”
The news comes less than two months after John McDonald was recognized by CRN on their “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” list honoring channel management executives. The complete list can be viewed at http://www.crn.com.
