Indosoft Inc., developer and distributor of the world-class Asterisk based contact center software Q-Suite, announces the incorporation of Asterisk 11 LTS (Long Term Support) into its Q-Suite 5.10 product line.
Making the change to a fully supported Asterisk 11 LTS brings Q-Suite 5.10 up-to-date with a version of Asterisk that will receive not only security fixes, but feature and bug fix releases. This shift will bring with it many performance enhancements over Asterisk 1.8, as well as a multitude of bug fixes and features. The highly expensive creation of MeetMe instances is now gone in favour of a much less taxing conference application, which will aid in keeping stress and workloads down on any Asterisk servers involved in your contact center. Asterisk 11 is also the first version of Asterisk to support WebRTC, which is a major component of the next major release, Q-Suite 6.
"In moving to Asterisk 11 LTS, we can leverage the vast feature set of a more recent version of Asterisk and it also gives us the opportunity to keep moving forward with Asterisk 11, due to the LTS classification," said CEO Gabe Bourque.
