Paterson Nonprofits Coming Together to Make a Bigger Difference this #GivingTuesday.
Paterson, New Jersey (PRWEB) November 25, 2015 -- These seven nonprofits are working to solve complex problems in the city of Paterson. Each organization provides a variety of programs to address the needs of individuals in their community. Whether it's addiction recovery, skills training, early life and education, food and housing, or a combination, they are each making an impact on the city and offering vital services to those in need. This #GivingTuesday, they decided to partner together so that their supporters could see the larger picture.
#GivingTuesday is a global movement to inspire a day of giving to kick off the giving season. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, Paterson nonprofits, including Eva’s Village, are coming together to make a difference. Eva’s Village is participating in #GivingTuesday to help boost their holiday donations. “We decided to join forces with other nonprofits in Paterson this #GivingTuesday to give donors a more comprehensive look at all that is being done to help those in need in our city,” stated Marie Reger, Eva’s Village Executive Director. “We hope readers will take a moment to learn more about the work of each organization, and hope they will decide to make a gift to one or more of these causes.”
Paterson, a city of 150,000 located in the heart of northern New Jersey, is a proud community. Founded in 1791 as a manufacturing hub, the city is working to redefine itself for the 21st century. With more than 29% of residents living in poverty, Paterson is home to many individuals in need. However, it is also home to a vibrant nonprofit community that aims to help those in the community who are most at risk. Seven of these nonprofits are coming together this #GivingTuesday to create a greater impact for those served.
