Rockwell Announces "It's About Time!" 6-Month Campaign to Reward Break-Through Accomplishments in Sports, Science and Song

Additionally, Rockwell will recognize and award U.S. military veterans aspiring to make future break-through contributions to American society in the years to come and the individual who significantly inspired and/or mentored them along the way. Armed forces recipients will be chosen each month based on their own written and submitted essays. The call for Essays is on December 1-10, 2015.

In commemoration of Veterans Day celebrated this month, Rockwell will also recognize and award three U.S. Armed Forces veterans each month, selected from a pool of submitted essays on what their future goals are, and the person who inspired them significantly in their lives. Rockwell anticipates and supports continued great service and high achievement from the men and women of the armed services. These future goals can fall under 'sports', 'science', and 'song', or any other worthy pursuit.
Each month, from December 2015 through May 2016, Rockwell will gift in-the-news individuals making break-through accomplishments in the fields of: sports, science and song with a Rockwell gift package (including a Rockwell premium watch, a high end pair of Rockwell Italian made sunglasses and other fine Rockwell sportswear and products). Additionally, Rockwell will send a Rockwell gift package to certain U.S. Armed Forces veterans selected based on written essays to be submitted to Rockwell and will send a Rockwell watch to the person who inspired that veteran the most in life.
The call for Essays is on December 1-10, 2015.
To determine the pool of qualified U.S. Armed Forces veterans for Rockwell’s “It’s About Time!” campaign, Rockwell today is issuing a ‘call for essays’ in which applicants have between December 1, 2015 and midnight December 10, 2015 to submit an essay to Rockwell between 500 and 700 words detailing who personally inspired them and/or mentored them by providing a vision for leading an exemplary life – a vision which they otherwise would not have realized on their own. Additionally, applicants should describe the future life vision and goals, which they have for their life. Once winning essays are identified by the company, applicants will be notified and a Rockwell recognition-and-reward gift package will be scheduled to be sent to the essay-winning individuals. A Rockwell watch will be sent to the individual mentioned in the essay deemed as the most positive influence in the essay winner’s life.
To advance for final review by Rockwell founder Rich Eggett, essays must be between 500 and 700 words, be typo-free, and be emailed in either a Microsoft Word Document or Google Document format, to: [email protected]. Applicants sending their essay to Rockwell via either of the above-stated methods must provide: 1) their full name; 2) their email address; 3) the phone number where they can be reached; 4) a jpeg head shot photo of themselves, via email attachment and 5) proof that they previously served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Each essay contestant agrees that in sending Rockwell their essay that they accept that the content of their essay shall become the property of Rockwell. Rockwell reserves the right to publish some or all of the winning essays on the http://www.rockwelltime.com web site, under certain sections and also may be shared with members of the American media.
