CloudCraze™ Builds Barry Callebaut Dynamic eCommerce Storefront with New Portal Capabilities
CHICAGO (PRWEB) November 30, 2015 -- As a result of a successful pilot of its Italian eCommerce storefront, Barry Callebaut enters phase two of its online storefront implementation through CloudCraze™, an enterprise eCommerce platform provider built on the Salesforce Platform. The centrally managed platform has simplified the global chocolate manufacturer’s complex network into an intuitive and integrated platform to allow partner agents to easier meet the needs of their diverse multinational customers. Phase two will expand these capabilities to additional global storefronts.
In an effort to accommodate a complex array of buyers in different countries, Barry Callebaut, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products, has leveraged the CloudCraze platform to help navigate its different storefronts, prices, and products after scaling to 52 factories and almost 10,000 employees worldwide since 1996. CloudCraze has enabled Barry Callebaut to build a dynamic buyer environment that could support multiple markets and countries.
“After looking into their various options, including SAP, ATG [Oracle], and IBM commerce, we identified CloudCraze as the best choice because of its architecture requirements, compatibility with Salesforce, cost, and time to market,” said, Steven Vandamme, Barry Callebaut’s Chief Information Officer. “CloudCraze has given us an eCommerce solution that could accommodate the customized experience we were seeking while leveraging the investment in Salesforce we’ve already made and we are thrilled to expand these capabilities in phase two to additional storefronts around the world.”
The only eCommerce platform built natively on Salesforce, CloudCraze enabled Barry Callebaut’s CRM and eCommerce platforms to seamlessly share processes. CloudCraze also extended Barry Callebaut’s existing Salesforce.com Service Cloud functionality so partner agents can complete self-service use cases. Finally, CloudCraze gave Barry Callebaut the ability to customize price and commission points, while it also enabled order-on-behalf capabilities for 4,000 outlet customers through web and mobile storefronts.
“As the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products, eCommerce was key to Barry Callebaut’s growth,” said Andrew Witherspoon, executive vice president of CloudCraze. “We look forward to continuing to work with them in phase two of the global project by expanding these capabilities to their Brazil and France eCommerce storefronts.”
