JogNog Announces New Weekly Learning Contest for U.S. Middle Schools
Wakefield, MA (PRWEB) November 30, 2015 -- JogNog, a leading practice and assessment tool for teachers, is launching a free nationwide contest for middle school students to learn math, science, and ELA in a challenging and fun way. The contest is designed to motivate students to study and to help teachers easily reinforce key concepts.
The JogNog Tower Challenge is an expanded version of the JogNog Science Challenge, a contest that has been proven to improve science scores on standardized state tests by supporting friendly competition among schools. Questions in the challenge support individual state requirements for grades 2 through 12 as well as the Common Core.
The challenge continues through May 2016 with a different school winning each week for achieving the most completed quizzes. Winning schools receive a $25 Amazon gift card and a colorful JogNog Tower Challenge poster. In addition, winning schools are entered into the competition for the grand prize of a $100 Amazon gift card and a JogNog Tower Challenge trophy. The questions come from JogNog’s library of 1,900 quizzes and 90,000 teacher-created questions.
To sign up and to access the quizzes for the JogNog Tower Challenge, visit the contest page at: http://www.jognog.net/JTC. “Friendly competition between schools motivates learning and cooperation, and we are pleased to provide the JogNog Tower Challenge to encourage students,” said Stephen Smith, CEO and co-founder of JogNog. “The competition is to see how much you can learn, not how much you know. Every school has a fair chance. The school that learns the most wins!”
“The JogNog Tower Challenge really motivates my students to study the content that we need to cover,” said Eileen Lynch, the Lead Science Teacher and a seventh grade science teacher at North Middle School in Westfield, Massachusetts. “Students can easily work on assignments wherever they choose, whether it be at home using a computer in the car on their phones.”
