CMC Recognized and Thanked by the United States Air Force
Lakeland, FL (PRWEB) November 27, 2015 -- Captain Ray Wright Barkley, Jr., of the United States Air Force, dropped in to say ‘Thank You’ to the employees of CMC and present Ann Croswell, owner of CMC, and Keith Byrd, General Manager, with a flag which had been flown at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
Last month CMC started to collect goods that they felt our troops would want or need. It all started when asked if coffee could be sent. The box of goodies was a great success! CMC started this new tradition because Captain Barkley’s mother, Chris Crider, is the Controller at CMC. Everyone was very generous in their giving and they plan on doing this again before Christmas.
When asked what some of the favorite items were, Captain Barkley responded, “The coffee was great, but the candy went very fast!”
Items like mouthwash, toothpaste, razors and goodies were the top items. CMC also sent to them a card which was signed by all employees of CMC with much appreciation and thanks for all they do for our country.
Along with the flag was a plaque, which read:
So that all shall know, this flag was flown in the face of the enemy, illuminated in the dark by the light of justice, and bears witness to the removal of terrorist forces threatening the freedom of the United States of America and the world. It was flown with great pride and respect during the execution of air tasking order MZ in the combined air operations center, Al Udeid, Qatar on 11 November 2015 in honor of Computer Merchandise Corporation.
Ray Wright Barkley Jr., Capt. USAF
Combat Operations Division
Sido Team Chief
This Air Tasking Order contained Offensive Strike and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance missions flown by the USAF, USN, USMC and our Coalition Partners in support of the Global War on Terrorism. This flag represents the dedication of the United States Military and their steadfast devotion to duty in the fight against Global Terror, and to the vindication of the thousands of innocent people that perished during the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. May God grant them and their families peace.
