Greenberg Traurig’s Jonathan Beckham and Metropolitan Black Bar Association to Co-host Presentation – Don’t “Sleep” on the Cloud: Enhancing Your Cloud Skills

Beckham, of counsel in the Corporate Practice in the Northern Virginia office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will moderate a panel discussion co-hosted by Greenberg Traurig and the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, entitled “Don’t ‘Sleep’ on the Cloud: Enhancing Your Cloud Skills.” The session will take place next Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. in Greenberg Traurig’s New York City office.
The discussion will address key concerns and issues relating to Cloud services and data breach risks. Beckham will be joined by panelists Michael Avalos, Assistant General Counsel, AIG; Maria Fernandez, Senior Counsel, IBM; Bruce Jackson, Assistant General Counsel, Microsoft; and Ade Oremosu, Associate General Counsel, Verizon.
Beckham focuses his practice on technology and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance transactions, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations. He has experience acting as lead counsel on technology transactions, including those involving outsourcing, Cloud enterprise licensing and business process management services, data center and collocation leases, strategic alliances and joint ventures, network infrastructure and equipment purchases, and network capacity sales and leases. Beckham has represented leading software application providers; a Fortune 100 professional services and consulting firm; the credit card division of a Top 5 bank; the U.S. Department of Treasury; a Fortune 100 manufacturing conglomerate; subsea cable system builders and sponsors; and a publicly traded, international telecommunications firm, for which he served as senior in-house counsel for approximately six years on a variety of commercial and corporate finance matters.
